Not only does Matt Evers fill the role of world class figure skater, having traveled with the United States Figure Skating Team for 4 years, but he is also nationally recognized broadcasting talent, having hosted the Country Music Television’s Cowboy U as well as having numerous credits on national commercials. This combination is rare in the professional world, and this valuable and unique experience makes him an ideal candidate for a wide variety of roles in the media industry.

In 1998 Matt won the U.S. Junior Pair Championship with his partner Heather Allebach, qualifying them to represent the United States across the world for the ensuing four years. During this time, they were ranked in the top fifteen pair teams in the world and top five in the United States. In 2001, Matt turned professional and now works with well-known skating talent, including Dorothy Hamill and Brian Boitano.

Matt began his broadcasting and emcee career in New York during the summer of 2000 when he emceed for such shows as a touring skating show and was a spokes model at tradeshows for a range of national clients including P&G and Samsung. In 2001 Matt relocated to Los Angeles to expand his television career by hosting CMT’s first ever reality show Cowboy U, which has continued successfully for three seasons. During the winter of 2004-2005, Matt hosted the premiere live event Legends On Ice, starring Dorothy Hamill and Elvis Stojko in Los Angeles. Later that winter, Matt went on to host a show at Caesars’ Palace in Las Vegas on the first ice rink to be located on the strip. Recently, during the spring of 2005, Matt co-hosted “On the Fly…” a destination fly fishing pilot for the Travel Channel.

2006 brought Matt international acclaim as he participated in the UK smash hit “Dancing On Ice” with Olympic champions Torvil and Dean. This entertainment television program combines the expertise of professional skaters with currently celebrities and teaching them how to skate and perform on a weekly basis. The show was such a hit in the UK in 2006 it was commissioned by 14 other countries and a second series in the UK 2007. Matt also appeared in the Australian version of Dancing On Ice.

Matt currently resides in London while training and performing for Dancing On Ice 3 with Ex-HearSay Singer Suzanne Shaw.
